A Seasoned Litigator | Dedicated To Helping Injured New Yorkers
At The O’Connor Law Firm, customer service is a priority. My clients always get my complete attention as they work through a very difficult time in their lives. I treat them with the utmost respect and make sure that they feel like I hear and appreciate their concerns.
Personal attention is not the only aspect of customer service. When you have a legal matter, a great attorney also needs to have the requisite litigation skills and be willing to put in the effort necessary to help you obtain the best outcome possible. I pride myself on being that lawyer.
In the 20+ years I have been serving as an injury lawyer, I have developed a passion for representing injury victims and their families. The best part of my job is knowing that I have made a difference in a client’s life in helping them get back on their path and obtain the compensation they deserve.
A Former NYC Assistant Corporation Counsel and Insurance Defense Attorney
My career began in 1997, working for the City of New York. Within my first year as a lawyer, I had already tried many cases involving everything from pedestrian and school injuries to city-owned motor vehicle accidents. Not only did I become an effective litigator, but I also gained valuable insight into a very complex area of law.
When an international law firm with over 500 attorneys hired me, I was the only associate in the office who had tried a case. Even some of the partners could not say that they had done the same.
It was during my time as an insurance defense attorney that it became clear to me that insurance companies have one goal in mind: to deny, delay and defend legitimate claims by hard-working New Yorkers so they can increase their profits at the expense of injury victims.
I knew I needed to represent those that really deserved it –injured New Yorkers who were being taken advantage of by unscrupulous insurance carriers.
After representing injury victims in both state and federal court for a prominent NYC law office, I established The O’Connor Law Firm in 2006. I knew that I could provide more individualized personal service to clients if I limited the number of cases I accepted. Fewer cases leads to more time for each client which translates to better service, bigger settlements and larger verdicts.
