What Is A Notice Of Claim?
A notice of claim is a document that must be filed within 90 days of the date your claim arises, usually the accident date. The notice of claim provides the municipal entity with information about the date, time and place of the occurrence as well as the manner in which the accident occurred, including a description of the injuries claimed. The notice of claim is intended to provide a municipality with an opportunity to investigate the claim within a reasonable time after it occurs.
